Rachael Herren (she/her) is a professional theatre practitioner, theorist, and teaching artist.
Her areas of academic interest include devised and experimental theatre, movement, adaptation, Shakespeare, Horror onstage, Camp, Queer bodies as performance and in performance, embodiment, phenomenology, and the ways in which we, as people, perform our values in historical and postmodern contexts.
She is an amateur calligrapher, chess player, flower arranger, runner, vegetarian/vegan cook, Spanish speaker, poet, and quilter.
She is a great appreciator of coffee and tea, horror films, dogs, Lily King novels, fashion design, food documentaries, textiles, pottery, and peanut butter.
She is the proud companion of a most perfect dog named Winnie.
